Site Overview

Metrics insights, at a glance

ClickTracks' site overview gives you a 'big picture' view of site activity. View visitor behavior for all time, daily, weekly or monthly from the standpoint of:

  •   Number of visitors: Shows how many people visited your site.

  •   Cost of visitors: If you've configured your campaigns in ClickTracks Analyzer or Professional, this field shows you the number of visitors from a campaign and calculates total cost, cost per visitor and cost per visitor from a campaign.

  •   Revenue from visitors: If you've configured your revenue options in ClickTracks Professional, this field shows you the number of purchasing visitors and calculates total revenue, revenue per visitor and revenue per purchasing visitor.

  •   Average time on site: Shows how much time the average visitor spent browsing or interacting with your web site.

  •   Top search queries: Shows the top search terms that lead visitors to your site.

  •   Top referrers: Shows the top web sites who sent traffic to your site.

  •   Pages with most visitors: Shows the pages that are visited most often.

  •   Top entry pages: Shows the top pages on which visitors enter the site.

  •   Top exit pages: Shows the most common pages from which site visitors exit.

The power of ClickTracks lies in its 'visitor labeling' functionality. By labeling groups of visitors who share a common criteria, the site overview lets you:

Paid and Free Search Analysis

Compare free search vs. PPC:

Understand the differences between visitors who found your site as the result of a free search listing, versus those who came through a paid listing. Labeling free vs. PPC visitors in the site overview report shows you side-by-side the similarities and differences in each group's behavior.

Analysis Beyond the Clickthrough

Find visitors who reached checkout or other goal:

Whether your site is e-commerce or content/lead generating, it still has a goal. Labeling visitors who reach a specific goal page like the shopping cart checkout or the newsletter sign-up page means you can better understand the search terms, referrers and navigation paths that lead to the best results. In the site overview, you'll be able to identify the characteristics and paths of visitors who reach your goal page, compared to all visitors and visitors from other groups of your choosing.
